The rain gods have shown mercy on the heated earth!Yes,the weather bureau can heave a sigh of relief now. They no longer have to make insanely wrong predictions about when it is going to rain. The key to this suspense is best known to Mother Nature and boy, does she enjoying toying with it or what!!
One thing i have never understood is as to why we need to know when it is going to rain.Come the end of the month of May,the onset of rains are the topic of great discussion.I mean, its not that we have to drastically change my pattern of life or make some life altering decisions that we REALLY need to know when it will rain.Life remains just the same. But yes,it gets muckier, untidier than usual and by the end of it all,the romanticism which the onset of rains create is demolished to the very core.
The rains as far as Mumbai is concerned, can be very troublesome and frustrating sometimes bordering on gruesome even.In fact every rainy season, ever since i started travelling in the local trains has been an experience of sorts. It teaches you not to be presumptuous.Because if you thought it cant get worse than the previous year, the concerned authorities (be it civil or municipal or the railways)prove you wrong every single year. They succeed in making life more miserable compared to the previous year.It always reflects an upward trend.Talk about consistent progress!!In my opinion, that is an accomplishment in itself. Kudos to them for making the already mucky season, 'muckier' with several other ancillary contributions from their end.
I introduce this as a separate label because am very sure (this is one statistic which will and can never go wrong!) that i will have a lot of interesting experiences to share with all of you in this regard. In the meanwhile,ENJOY THE RAINS!...which reminds me,i gotcha grab the butter bhutta at marine drive:)
